Shegoan Gajaanan Maharaj Mandir

Shegoan Gajaanan Maharaj Mandir

Gan Gan Ganata Bote

Gajanan Maharaj from Shegaon (Buldhana District), Maharashtra, India was a Saint from India. "Sant Shri Gajanan Maharaj Sansthan" is the largest temple trust in the Vidarbha region. It is not known when he was born but his first known appearance, perhaps as a youngster in his 20s, dates to February 1878. He took Samadhi on 8 September 1910, and the date is marked as Samadhi-din by his disciples. The date of his first appearance is also marked as an auspicious day.

History :-

The early life history of Gajanan Maharaj is obscure, his birthdate being unknown. He is said to have made his first appearance on 23 February 1878 in Shegaon. His devotees believe him as incarnation of Lord Ganesha and Lord Dattatreya.[citation needed] Biruduraju Ramaraju has tried to establish in his collection of books called "Andhra Yogulu" that he was a Telangana Brahmin. However, in a recently published Marathi book entitled, "Shri Gajanan Maharaj Charitra Kosh" by Shri Dasabhargav (who himself hails from Shegaon) some interesting facts have been revealed. This author met Shri Swami Shivanand Saraswati, who was 129 years old at Nashik. Shri Swami told the author that he was Telangi Brahmin who had met Shri Sadguru Gajanan Maharaj in 1887 in Nashik, which is a pilgrimage centre. He also clearly told that after Shri Gajanan Maharaj appeared in Shegaon and remained there, he had visited Maharaj 25–30 times. During these visits Shivanand Swami declared that he used visit Shri Dadasaheb Khaparde in Amravati and stay with Khaparde family. Thus, Shri Shivanand Swami is none other than the Telangi Brahmin whose mention has been made in the foreword of "Shri Gajanan Vijay" on his own admission. Later Shivanand Saraswati left to perform penance in Himalaya and was never spotted again (refer pages 362–365 of the above book for the detailed conversation of the author and Shri Shivanand Swami along with their photograph). Thus, it is quite clear that Shri Gajanan Maharaj was not Telangi Brahmin as some speculate. Some speculate that he might have in fact hailed from Sajjanghad, (which was the place where Sant Samartha had lived). Das Ganu Maharaj has written a 21 chapter biography, "Shri Gajanan Vijay," of Gajanan Maharaj in Marathi. Contemporaries of Gajanan Maharaj identified him by several names like Gin Gine Buwa, Ganpat Buwa, and Awaliya Baba.

Shri Sant Gajanan Maharaj Sansthan:-

In the presence of Gajanan Maharaj, Shri Sant Gajanan Maharaj Sansthan, a body of 12 trustees was formed on 12 September 1908 so as to commemorate the holy place which Maharaj had hinted Ya Jagi Rahil Re(It will be at this place) about his place and day for Samadhi. Head of the Gajanan Maharaj Sansthan-Shivshankarbhau Patil is the head of the trust and well known in India for his administration and management of the temple, bhojan kaksha, engineering and management college, Anand Sagar project and many other institution run by the trust located at Shegaon managed by Shri Gajanan Maharaj Sansthan Shegaon affiliated to Amravati university. This college is one of the best institutes for engineering education in Vidarbha region. The Anand Sagar project is also developed by the trust over 650 acres for tourist with all facilities at nominal rates. The temple is famous in Maharashtra for its clean, neat, tidy environment and polite and respectful behaviour of the sevakas of Gajanan Maharaj trust who work there just for seva.

Samarth told him to throw the diamond ring he was wearing. Rather than throwing the ring he kept it in front of Samarth. Cholappa picked up that ring and sold it. And in the amount he built that muth. In the centre of the temple, statues of Lord Ganpati, Devi and shivlinga were inaugurated and grand celebration of same was done. Shree Samarth was present for that celebration.

Uncha Maza Zoka - उंच माझा झोका Title Song Full HD Video Song with Lyrics

A very inspiring poem by Kavi Mangesh Padgaonkar...After i have read it, it never left me...thinking that in the end you are your best friend...never to leave your happiness at the feet of another..

Chiutai Chiutai Daar Ughad Lyrics

Chiutai Chiutai dar Ughad!
Daar Ase Lauon Jagavarti Kauon
Kiti Vel Dole Mitun Aat Basashil
Aapale Man Aapanach Khat Basashil
Vara Aat Yayalach Haava,
Mokala Shwas Ghyayalach Hava.
Chiutai Chiutai dar Ughad!

Ssagalach Kas Honar Aapalya Manasarakhe,
Aapale Sudhha Aapalyala Hota Parakha
Mor Dhundh Nachato mhanun Aapana Ka Khinna Vhayacha
Kokil Sundar Gato mhanun Aapana Ka Sunna Vhayacha
Tulana Karit Basayach Nasata ga,

Chiutai Chiutai dar Ughad!

Pahatechya Rangat Tuze Ghar Nahale,

Tuze Gharate Band Hote,

Band Gharrat Basun Kasa Chalela
Jagavarati Rusun Kasa Chalela
Chiutai Chiutai dar Ughad!

Chiutai Chiutai Daar Ughad - चिउताई चिउताई दार उघड! Lyrics

Vitthal Rukmini Temple At Pandharpur,Solapur,Maharashtra

Vitthal Rukmini Temple At  Pandharpur,Solapur,Maharashtra

A holy shrine of quite antiquity that holds Vithoba, a localized version of lord Krishna is one among the numerous devout destinations in Pandharpur. The temple is believed to be centuries old and the most amazing aspect in this holy shrine is the scripture that dates back to the year 1195.The devotees used to rub their back on this scripture, which is believed to absolve them from the wheel of rebirths.

The lord is seen accompanied by his consort Rukmini. The deities look truly impressive with its blackish colour and in Navarathri and Dusshera celebrations they would be clothed with new clothes everyday. The temple is open for the public for the whole day during Vari. After Vari the temple is washed with water and the deities would be fed with special meals.

Vitthal temple, Pandharpur is the main centre of worship for the Hindu deity Vitthal, believed to be a local form of god Krishna or Vishnu and his consort Rakhumai. It is the most visited temple in Maharashtra. The Warkaris start marching from their homes to the temple of Pandharpur in groups called Dindi to reach on Aashadhi Ekadashi and Kartiki Ekadashi. A dip in the holy river Chandrabhaga on whose banks Pandharpur resides, is believed to have power to wash all sins. All the devotees are allowed to touch the feet of the idol of Vithoba. In May 2014, the temple became first in India to invite women and people from backward classes as priests.

The Temple:-
Main entrance of Lord Vittala's Temple is facing towards the Chandrabhaga or Bhima river. Samadhi of Namadev and Chockamela is at the entrance. Pilgrims will first pray to the Devotees and then enter the temple. Small Ganesh Shrine is present inside the temple as first Shrine. Then, a small hall where bhajans are performed. Small Shrine for Garuda and Hanuman facing Lord is in the same hall. Then, after climbing few steps, we can see the beautiful face of Lord Vittala. We can have this Mukha Darshan any time without standing in Queue. For, Padha Darshan (To touch the Lotus Feet of Lord), there is an entrance which leads to Queue Complex outside the temple. It will lead to many small shrines of Bhaktas, then towards the Lord Panduranga. We can touch the feet of Lord. We feel best when we touch the Lord's Lotus feet. There are Shrines for Rukmini Devi, Sathyabhama Devi, Radhika Devi, Lord Narasimha, Lord Venkateshwara, Goddess Mahalakshmi, Nagaraj, Ganesha, Annapoorani Devi. There is another mandap where all devotees play like Krishna had played with Gopikas. It will be great experience.

Dindi yatra:-
Ashadi Ekadasi is a religious procession and is celebrated during the months of June- July (Aashaadh Shukla paksha). It consists of a beautifully decorated Palkhi having the “padukas” of the lord and the Palkhi procession consists of people collectively walking, singing and dancing the glory of the Lord in what are called as ‘Dindis’.

The Palkhi procession has remained unbroken since it began despite wars, famines and floods. More than Fifty Palkhis of saints assemble at Pandharpur every year. In Maharashtra “Varkaris” (predominantly simple farmers) is a big community. They usually undertake 21-day walk after they have completed the sowing process in their fields. In the Ashadi Ekadasi festival, people from every faith and religion participate. Learned sages also come for it. Jnyaneshwar preached the Gita which is considered the highest religious text in Maharashtra. The 'Bhakti Marg' (the path of devotion) as propounded by Sant Jnyaneshwar, teach us to forget the physical self in pursuit of the Lord. When the Varkaris sing and dance during the pilgrimage, they forget the material world around them.

Along with the Dindi procession, seva to the poor and needy is done reflecting that Lord is in all forms. This is called ‘Seva Dindi’. During the Seva Dindi, the people on pilgrimage undertake selfless service to the poor and needy like Amrut Kalash (Annadhan), Narayan seva, Medical seva, Building & repairing rural infrastructure etc.

Participation in Ashadi Dindi and Seva Dindi helps an individual in many ways by bringing good health, peace & prosperity in his life. Chanting the continuous glory of the God in the Ashadi Dindi procession and Seva Dindi purifies an individual, there is an inner cleansing that takes place in Mind, Body and Spirit and the participants tend to lose their individual identities and experience bliss. It develops all aspects of human personality and helps us understand the true purpose of Life.
