 About Siddhatek
 It is lies in region of Karjat taluka of Ahmednagar district. Siddhatek is situated on the banks of river Bhima. Siddhi Vinayak at Siddhatek is said to have come to the aid of Mahavishnu as he was engaged in a long battle with the demons Madhu and Kaitabha. Wheat and Sugarcane fields are seen everywhere.Small houses covered with grass and walls made up of soil is speciality of this area.

 About Temple
The temple situated next to river Bhima. The place next idol was made by Ahilya Bai Holkar. Amazing thing about these place is it is so silence that even the river Bhima when flooded doesn't make any noise, which states the dept of the river. The swayambhu idol of Shree Siddhivinayaka is placed in brass frame. Brass idols of Jay & Vijay are placed on both sides of Siddhivinayaka. In the sanctum itself there is a Shivapanchayatan & goddess Shivai's small temple.

These idol of  Ganpati is also well known as Sidhivinayak. The temple is under the control of Chinchwad Temple Trust.

As the temple is in Nagar district , you can reach the place either by bus or by train. if you would like to travel by rail you will need to get down Daund or Boibel and from these stations you can take the bus to reach the temple. Lord Vishnu got Siddhi at Siddhatek and thus Ganesh idol here is called as Siddhivinayak. It is believed that Siddhivinayak leads work to the completion. Shree Siddhivinayak is suppose to be a Jagrut place (awakened) of Shree Ganesh.Morya Gosavi of Morgaon & Narayan Maharaj of Kedgaon have attained Siddhi here. Peshva Senapati, Shree Haripant Phadke resumed his lost post by performing Vinayak's penance for 21 days.

REACH
Situated on the banks of river Bhima, Siddhatek lies in Karjat taluka of Ahmednagar district. Wheat & Sugarcane fields are seen every where. Small houses covered with grass & walls made up of mud is the speciality of this area.
Herds of animals & sheeps can be seen grazing on expanded fields.
Following routes are available for going to Siddhatek :
1) For going to Siddhatek, Daund is the convenient railway station on Pune-Solapur railway line. (Daund is at 78 kms from Pune via Hadapsar-Loni-Yavat- Chaufula & Patas). Daund-Siddhatek is 18 kms. State transport buses stop at Shirapur, 1 km prior to Siddhatek. By walking down a distance of 1 km from Shirapur you come across river Bhima. On crossing river Bhima by boat you reach Siddhatek. You will be surprised to know thet before crossing the river you are in Pune Dist. (Shirapur) & on crossing the river when you are on the other bank in Siddhatek you are in Ahmednagar District.
2) From Mumbai you can go to Siddhatek via Patas, Bhigwan & Rashin.
3) Siddhatek via a long route of Daund-Kashti-Pedgaon (without crossing river) is at adistance of 48 kms.
4) State transport bus is available at 3.00 p.m. from Shivajinagar bus stand of Pune. It reaches Siddhatek at round 7.00 p.m. This bus has its night halt at Siddhatek. Again it starts at 6.00 a.m. & reaches Ranjangaon Ganapati by 9.00 a.m. via Shrigonda & Shirur. As such you can halt at Siddhatek & go to Ranjangaon Ganapati in the morning. Similarly in the morning at 6.30 a.m. S.T. bus is available from Swargate bus stand for going to Shirapur. All other buses go upto Daund only.

TEMPLE
Siddhatek is situated on the banks of river Bhima. On crossing the river, while going towards the temple, you will come across the place where sage Vyas had performed yagna (sacrifices). It is said that, years ago there was a heap of ashes from this sacrificial fire. However, this place is now covered by water. The road leading to the main temple was built by the Peshwa's Senapati Haripant Phadke.
Shree Siddhivinayak's temple is on a hill top facing north. The sanctum of the temple, which is fifteen feet high & ten feet broad was built by Ahilyabai Holkar.
The swayambhu idol of Shree Siddhivinayaka is placed in a brass frame. Brass idols of Jay & Vijay are placed on both sides of Siddhivinayaka. In the sanctum itself there is a Shivapanchayatan & goddess Shivai's small temple. The hall of the temple was previously built by Baroda's landlord late Shri Mairal. It was broken in 1939 & was rebuilt by Ganesh's devotees in 1970. Nagarkhana on the main gate was built in memory of Shree Haripant Phadke.

 IDOL
The idol is, three feet tall, facing north with his trunk turned right. The idol is Gajmukh, however the belly of the idol is not big. Riddhi & Siddhi are sitting on each lap of Vinayaka. The face is very calm & serene.
The pradakshana (circumnavigation) of this God is said to be very fruitful. One has to travel 5 km to complete one Pradkshana as the idol is attached to the hill itself.

 PROGRAMMES & FESTIVALS

The Temple opens at 4.00 o' clock in the morning. From 4.30 a.m. to 5.00 a.m. Ganesh Pooja is performed. Khichadi Naivedyam is offered at 10.00 o' clock in morning, Panchamrut (milk, curd, honey, ghee) pooja is done at 11.00 a.m. & Mahanaivedyam is offered at 12.00 noon. Third pooja is performed after sunset. Dhooparati takes place from 8.30 p.m. to 9.15 p.m. & the temple closes for the day.
Bhadrapada & Magh Shudh Pratipada to Panchami (from 1st day to 5th day) are celebrated on a grand scale. Maha Pooja & Maha Naivedyam are offered continuously for three days. Palanquin of Siddhivinayak sets out at 8.00 p.m. continuously for 3 nights. Shree Dharanidhar Chintaman Dev is the landlord of Siddhatek. The morning karpoor (camphor) Aarati is sponsored by him.The land revenue is utilised towards the expenses of the festivals, Naivedyam & Nandadeep. Large number of devotees attend the Magh festiv
