What’s in a name?
The Orchid School gets it's name from the orchid flower. Orchids were the first flowering plants to evolve around 120 million years ago, when the mighty dinosaurs roamed the earth.
The dinosaurs became extinct; so did many species of plants and animals. But the orchid family survived, adapted and expanded.
Orchids are among the most successful and adaptable family of plants. They are often cited as great examples of peaceful and mutually beneficial co-existence in nature. Orchids were here long before humans. The orchid has survived the different stages of evolution by adapting to the changing climate, waiting for the right time & opportunities to bloom.
Our school recognizes the fact that all children have potential, like Orchids. They are waiting to be unfolded and discovered.
When given an appropriate, rich, supportive and nourishing environment, children can blossom and evolve as healthy human beings – as beautiful and exquisite as The Orchid Flower.

Orchid the international school in pune is Pathetic school with bad principal. She says whatever she says is correct whole world is wrong. NEVER PUT YOUR CHILD INTO THIS SCHOOL. THEY KNOW ONLY MONEY AND BUSINESS.MANAGEMENT AND PRINCIPAL ARE PATHETIC PEOPLE I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. Below is our experience in academic year 2016-17 This is in regards to the Evaluation of Exam Papers for std 4th Orchids- The International School Pune. My Daughter Avani was student of THIS school in std 4th. We have received results of her annual examination from School IN APRIL 2017. We are aware that our daughter is meritorious student and ex-city pride student. She had performed extremely well in the past years when she was part of other schools. Even this year she worked hard all through the academic year and finally just one guideline from school that IF QUESTION NUMBERS ARE NOT WRITTEN/MARKED PROPERLY WHILE WRITING THE ANSWERS THEN ALL TOTAL MARKS FOR THAT QUESTION WILL BE DEDUCTED FROM THE FINAL EXAM PAPERS. We are not satisfied with such stringent way of evaluation that results in INCORRECT MARKING OF QUESTIONS PAPERS AND WRONG EVALUATION. Our daughters hard work went in vain. WHY YOUR SCHOOL HAVE NOT FOLLOWED THIS EVALUATION PATTERN IN WINTER SEMESTER OF EXAMINATIONS? PRINCIPAL SAID THAT THE CBSE GUIDELINES ARE THERE SAYS FOR THIS WAY OF EVALUATION. Now I HAVE WRITTEN EMAILn TO CBSE DIRECTOR. I would like to communicate that school management/principal had not given any WRITTEN COMMUNICATION in advance TO PARENTS/STUDENTS THEY WILL DEDUCT MARKS IN CASE QUESTION NUMBERS ARE NOT WRITTEN PROPERLY FOR RESPECTIVE ANSWERS. I have also told principal ishita ghoshal today that we should have been informed in advance regarding these marking guidelines. Principal- Ishita Ghoshal mentioned that school management didn't feel it necessary to have written communication for such an important guideline and this is the way they operate. We are also feeling that since we withdrawn the admission from school this year and hence PURPOSEFULLY BEEN GIVEN LOWER GRADE.WE CAN CLEARLY SEE THAT MARKS HAVE BEEN CHANGED BY APPLICATION OF WHITENER.THAT THIS IS UNFAIR PRACTICE. THIS IS DEMORALIZING AND NOT ETHICAL WAY OF EVALUATION OF STUDIES OF STUDENTS. We are living in Democratic and developing nation. We have requested CBSE BOARD to kindly look into the matter.nnI CAN RATE THIS SCHOOL AS ZERO ON SCALE OF 0 to 5 5 being highest and 0 being less/worsted. Never opt for this school it is waste of money and negligence of your child's future. Principal is worst she will never listen anything from parents and she portrays that she is always right
