IT and use of Internet Policy:-
The school allocates access to the Internet on the basis of its didactic value. SIS encourages students to make the best use of all technological facilities furnished by the school to shape their academic performance.
The proper use of the Internet is a combined responsibility of students, parents/guardians and staff at school and they should understand the significance of the educational value to be gained from it.
Appropriate planning and management that recognizes the risks can ensure accurate, effective and safe use of Internet. All students and their parents are liable to sign an undertaking that the students will use the systems responsibly and according to the laws of the Government of India. In particular, students will not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any other computer system or go beyond the school authorized access account. This includes attempting to log in through another person's account or access another person's files.
Students will not access or download material from inappropriate sites or pass such material to other students. Students will not bring any material that school finds unsuitable or objectionable. The school reserves the right to monitor the use of computers by its students within its network by any reasonable means. Students found misusing the system will face severe consequences which may result in confiscation of laptops, denial of access to the system, penalty or expulsion from the school depending on the gravity of the offence.
Plagiarism:-
At SIS, it is our priority to ensure that all students understand and respect the meaning and significance of academic honesty. It not only refers to original authorship and ownership of creative/research material but also to proper conduct in relation to written exams. Plagiarism, cheating and collusion in examinations are unacceptable and will be penalized.
Mobile Phones:-
Students of the DP only are permitted to possess a cell phone, however policies at school require that they are turned off and deposited with Dean - administration during school hours. PYP and MYP / IGSE are strictly prohibited from using or carrying mobile phones, if found will be confiscated. Students are permitted to use their cell phones before and after school hours only.
It is not obligatory for students to possess mobile phones as the school holds an extensive network of landlines and fixed cellular services which can be utilized by Parents and Students.

Physical Education at SIS, contributes to the overall education of the student by helping him / her to lead a full and valuable life through engaging in purposeful physical and creative activities.

Boarding:-
The school provides boarding facility only for students admitted to the Diploma Programme (Grade 11 and 12). Students who wish to avail the hostel accommodation are to register with the Senior Administrator, Symbiosis Viman-nagar Campus on confirmation of admission to the institution.
On account of safety and security, the passports of international students will remain in the custody of the school administration.
Admission Procedure:-
Admissions for the new academic year for Nursery and Grade 11, open in the first week of January each year. Admissions to other classes depend on vacancies available.
Registration fee is non refundable. In case of a waiting list, the school does not commit of a confirmed admission.
Admission fee is to be paid in full at the time of admission and is non refundable.
Security deposit is also payable at the time of admission and is refundable on withdrawal of admission.
School fee is charged for 12 months of the year.
Kindergarten fees can be paid in two installments (Jan / Sept)
Grade 1 to 12 fees can be paid in three equal installments (May / Sept / Jan)
In case installments are not paid on time, a fine of Rs. 100 per day is charged. The school office sends circulars from time to time in this regard. The fee schedule is clearly mentioned in the school diary.
