Don Bosco School In Pune
Brief History of the School:-
In June 1974, the Diocese offered the Salesian Society of Don Bosco the School and the Parish, formally run by the Jesuits. The Parish was called “Our Lady of Sorrows” and the School was known as “Fatima High Shool.” Rev.Bro.Joe Mascarenhas.sdb was the First Principal of the School and Rev. Fr. Olivio Miranda.sdb was the first Salesian Parish Priest. Don Bosco Youth Centre, Koregaon Park was the base of all Parish activities.
Don Bosco High School, Yervada, has been Govt.aided school for the primary and the secondary sections, right from the time of its inception. Since then it has been possibile to reach out to the poor and needy of the neighbourhood.
Don Bosco High School, Pune, located in Yerwada, Pune, India, is a co-education, English medium school, affiliated to the State Board of Education Maharashtra. The school imparts education from junior KG to the senior secondary classes. The school operates in two shifts morning and afternoon.
Don Bosco School Yerwada Admissions:-
The School opens registration for new admission for the nursery classes in the first week of January each year.
For rest of the classes, enquiry may be made during the first week of June. Depending upon the availability of the seats in each class, children would be required to take written entrance exams.
Facilities:-
There are laboratories for science and computers. The school has a playground where the students can play outdoor sports. The students of the primary section have a separate playing area. There is an open schooling section for the students who cannot join regular schools.
