It is a modern day Hindi stand-up comedy show in which Johny Lever incorporates references and observations of social media, politics, human behaviour, pop-culture, current affairs, technology, etc. effortlessly into his routines as he absorbs them. The result is a laugh riot which is enjoyed by an audience of all age groups.

Johny Lever was born to Prakash Rao Janumala and Karunamma Janumala in Prakasam, Andhra Pradesh, India. He was brought up in Mumbai's King's Circle area (Dharavi). His mother tongue is Telugu. Johny studied at the Andhra Telugu School till the seventh grade but could not study further because of financial problems in his family, after which he decided to leave school and started doing odd jobs, such as selling pens on the streets of Bombay by imitating Bollywood stars and dancing to the songs of Bollywood stars. He also spent his early ages in Yakutpura, an old city of Hyderabad from where he learnt the unique style of comedy. Lever was also employed in Hindustan Lever's factory in Mumbai with his father. While working, he entertained his co-workers in the factory by imitating Elvis Presley. At one of the functions at his factory he was asked to perform and show his talent. His popularity among co-workers and officers of the factory earned him the nickname 'Johny Lever'. Lever got his first break in Tum Par Hum Qurban (1985). Since then, he has acted in more than 350 films including films like Tezaab (1988), Kasam (1988), and Kishen Kanhaiya (1990).But his first major success came with Baazigar (1993), and after that he was seen in almost every movie as a supporting actor/comedian. He was last seen in Singh Saab the Great (2013), It's Entertainment (2014), Hotel Beautifool (2015) and Dilwale (2015). Johny will soon be seen in the upcoming film Santa Banta Pvt Ltd which is slated to release in April, 2016.
