Millennium National School In Pune

Millennium National School In Pune

It is not without a touch of pride that I introduce you to an entire new approach of programmed learning in Indian schools. This has been realised in the Millennium National School – the only school of its kind and truly of the new millennium.

Millennium National School has been conceived with the sole purpose of providing effective solutions to your child’s school related issues, and with a conviction of making well-accomplished, responsible and all-rounded personalities of the future.

At Millennium National School, academics is neatly integrated with other developmental activities – workshops, performing arts, sports to name just a few general ones. Each student is allowed to explore areas of interest and exploit talents to the maximum potential.

The teachers are passionate about their subjects and are committed to pass on their enthusiasm to the students. Each student is ensured special attention to help him achieve confidence – a gift for life.

The school is equipped with outstanding educational aids and modern teaching techniques. But its core inspiration is essentially Indian.

The wider version of Millennium National School is to cultivate individuals who are not only successful in their professional and personal lives but ones who take upon themselves the challenge of making India a superpower.

I trust that when you browse our website, you will find all the information that will root your faith in this project and help you to choose the best for your child. Furthermore, it would be wonderful if you could interact with some of the people behind this unique project, at our campus.

Millennium National School aims to nurture and develop all rounders, thinkers and good human beings, who work towards the growth of the nation.

Having sound academics is important, but to be a thinker, leader and an innovator, it is necessary to have good logic, inquisitiveness and an analytical mind. This is what Millennium strives to develop in the students.

Developing good communication skills and being a good team player is what enables communication and success in life. The Millennium Way™ of schooling constantly evolves its programs to nurture these qualities.

Millennium National School is a dynamic, adapting institute which creates a wonderful environment for the children, which enables us to create national wealth – kind and sensitive citizens who are leaders, thinkers, innovators and pioneers.

Students who pass out of the system of Millennium National School develop a sense of integrity and a good value system. They understand the community around them well and have good communication abilities. They are empowered to learn on their own, make the right choices and take on challenges that come their way.

We also think that our vision will become a movement, and eventually, everyone will be, or want to be, a part of this movement.

Millennium National School has been conceived with the sole purpose of providing effective solutions to your child’s school related issues, and with a conviction of making well-accomplished, responsible and all-rounded personalities of the future. How we do it:-

Our children interact with two institutions – the parents, and the school. We will briefly describe what we think is a school’s role in educating children.

First and foremost, the school should give the child training in academics. Concepts and ideas should be presented to a child in a way that the child can understand them for what they are and where they can be applied. The school should give the child physical training as well. Since there is a large number of children of each age group in a school, the school is in a better position to provide the sense of competition to the children than any sports training facility. Not only sports, but the school is a unique setting which cannot be duplicated, in terms of group interaction and group tasks. The school should make sure that children learn to work in groups, and adjust to others. The school should also train the child in creative arts and crafts.

Want to start a school like ours?
Millennium National School has been groundbreaking in education with its innovative bagless concept, complete day boarding solution, and a completely different view of learning. To run this, we have to be highly process driven, with a focus on quality and training. Every process needs documentation, which we have tons of.  What remains? A young, energetic, driven and enthusiastic team. That’s us!

We have a proven record too – excellent academic results, great sports achievements, and good personalities.

Looking at all our processes, we have created what we call the Millennium Way™. This is a very detailed plan of how to implement our methodology, and join the movement to impart our values and impart quality education.

We are an open community, and would love to share our logistics and techniques. If working for the society excites you, and if your values and ideologies match ours, we can help you start a school, the Millennium Way™. Do get in touch with our team to get a feel of what synergies can happen!

Fees:-
To find out about the fees, please visit the school office. It would be a reason for you to come over, and take a look at our campus too!

We plan the fees in such a way, that there are no “hidden” costs involved. The costs which may come up sometimes are entirely optional. The fees include everything except transport and uniform. Again, request you to please visit the school office for finding out details about this.

Please do go through our rules and regulations too – this may sound boring, but is very necessary to make sure that the parents and the school are on the same ground.

Documents:-

You do not need to submit any documents when you submit the application for admission. Documents have to be submitted at the time of taking admission, after admission to the school has been confirmed.

* Parents seeking admission from Nursery to Std 1 have to submit the original birth certificate.

* Parents seeking admission from Std 2 to Std 10 have to submit the original leaving certificate from the previous school (to be submitted at a later date)

* Children who are presently in a school of a foreign country, need to get a transfer certificate from their current school. This is a letter from the school stating that the child has successfully completed the previous year’s requirement and is eligible to go ahead to the next class. It is similar to a leaving certificate that is given in India.

* For children who are foreign nationals, you also need to submit a true-copy proof of the nationality.

* We also need a true-copy of the caste certificate, in case you fall into any of the special categories.

Academics:-

A child comes to school to learn, understand and develop. The idea is to make learning interesting and understandable to actually achieve these goals. So, the whole academic process has to be broken down properly into manageable units and then presented to the child. The team at Millennium has done just that.

We follow the method of programmed learning, researched and developed entirely at Millennium. The content that has to be taught to the child in each period, for each subject is planned in advance. Multimedia presentations are made so that the children understand the concept properly. There are comparisons with known situations, demonstrations, animations, charts, diagrams and graphs – all which enhance understanding. This is the first introduction to the topic.

After that, the children discuss the important concepts with teacher and the teacher asks the children some pointed and thought provoking questions. This ensures that the children have picked up the important points of the lesson. Then they are given practice material in the form of worksheets. Children solve these sheets and understanding of that topic in reinforced.

After this activity there are revision periods for that topic and then a small test is conducted – either on paper or in the lab. Regular tests in school call for regular studying on the student’s part – which is a habit that is extremely useful in later life. Because of so much planning, each and every topic can be completed comfortably. It can be taught well and patiently. There is never any last minute rush to finish the portion. The children do not feel pressurised before an exam. They do not develop a ‘learning phobia’.

Events / Extra Curricular:-
Festivals are celebration time for the Millennium family. Being in India, we are all charged up at such times. All the boys and girls right from nursery, do the dahi handi on Gokulashtami, decorate the school and make lanterns and lamps in Diwali, the little ones have a Bhondala, make decorations and sing traditional Christmas songs and mould and paint statues during Ganpati. But that isn’t all that happens at Millennium.

All round exposure and development is what we strive for. We make it compulsory for every child to make an appearance on the stage in the Annual Gathering as that is the only way to tackle stage fright. They anchor the entire annual gathering and present dances and plays on the stage. The props and drapery is all provided by the school and the gathering goes on for almost a week as each child has at least one performance on stage. They are trained to speak on the stage, dance and act during the school year. With our emphasis on Sports, we have a Sports Week too, where there are competitions for all the sports that we teach in the school.

We have grand events such as the Fun Fair, which again, is completely student organized. The students are assigned stalls, and are given a choice of providing games or food. The Science Exhibition is one of a kind, where we have more than 500 students participating, with maximum of them making working models. This again, shows that children at Millennium have a very hands-on approach to everything. We also organize a Diwali Carnival, where we have killa making, rangoli and lantern making competitions.

Transport:-

Millennium students can opt for safe and reliable transport. The routes connect the school to a radius of 6 to 8 km. Please contact our school office for further details.
